Apartment Layout:
The apartment is in the Marais on the fourth floor of a classic 17th
century stone building. Coming through the entrance hall and into the
living room, one is immediately struck by the charm of the elegant
interior. Many of the furnishings are beautiful antiques upholstered in
stylish choices of contemporary fabrics and colors. The apartment was
renovated in 2018 by Philip Gorrivan, an award-winning interior
designer.
The original period parquet wooden floor is handsomely overlaid with a
natural seagrass rug. As well as being beautiful, the living room is
also practical. The seating area has a welcoming sofa, armchair, and
coffee tables. The dining area has plenty of space for a party of four
and is located next to the fully-equipped open kitchen that was
recently renovated. The dining and living areas are bathed in light
from the large windows.
From the living room, one will find the master bedroom complete with a
new king size mattress and recently renovated with green and earth
tones. There is an ensuite bathroom with a shower and a large closet
area perfect for guests to unpack. Moving back into the living room off
the hallway, guests will find the second bedroom overlooking a quiet
courtyard, with custom twin beds and decorated in cream and neutral
tones. There is an ensuite bathroom, with WC and shower. A washer and
separate dryer are also located in this bathroom. The apartment is a
perfect home away from home and is in the center of Paris close to many
transportation lines. Though there is no elevator in the building, the
stairs are not narrow nor steep. There are two portable AC units for
the warmer months.
