Positive: Beautiful setting and decor. Well equipped throughout. Lots of room and very comfortable beds.

Negative: The terrace garden and furniture didn’t exist, it was stacked high with wood and not accessible. We couldn’t even sit out there in an afternoon to chill out and enjoy the sun. No toilets in the en-suites. Every door squeaked badly and a night time visit to the loo woke everyone up every time. The hot tub was leaking and had to be topped up throughout our stay. Location although beautiful & peaceful it was too far to walk to the hotel in the heat, definitely too far to nip to the hotel for breakfast. A car is needed. We weren’t advised at the time of booking that the hotel was shut for the season, we were expected to read the opening dates on the hotel website even though we booked through booking.com. A courtesy message to advise us would have been nice, so maybe we could have re adjusted our dates. Although we were offered a refund we could not cancel our already booked flights without loosing a lot of money. We felt this was a bad move that no one considered to tell us. The reception of the hotel was open and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, couldn’t fault them. Just a shame the rest was closed and we had to hire a car to get out to near by restaurants and towns for facilities.

Summary: Beautiful, peaceful but disappointing regarding the hotel closure and distance of the chalet from the village.
